My lifestyle changes
When I was diagnosed with fibro 5 months ago my doctor and I decided to take a natural approach to healing rather than using medicine. I am allowed to do tai chi and swimming. I have meditation on my cell phone for when I am hurting and need to relax. I also am on a very restricted diet. I can have seafood, lean turkey, lean chicken, spices, veggies, oils, and fruits. I cannot have grapes or watermelon because they have a lot of sugar in them. I also cannot have citrus since it messes with my muscles. The only processed foods that I eat are those made with soy (soy cheese, soy cream cheese, soy sour cream, soy milk, soy whip cream). This really has made a huge difference and I have through the months found out the restaurants that will change my food for me. By week one I had no more headaches. Also, I did not need to take daily 4 hour naps. When I used to make the mistake of eating something without asking about the ingredients, I would get the worst knife stabbing. I rarely have them anymore with this diet.
